This policy explains how Local Living handles information when you browse the site, create a member account, purchase a licence, download an asset or contact us.

Information we receive

We receive information you provide, including name, email, organisation, billing address, country, tax or registration ID, purchase reference, enquiries, saved projects and download activity. We also receive payment status, customer and subscription identifiers, invoice details and limited billing information from Stripe or BML Swipe. Local Living does not receive full card numbers.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, memberships, licensed downloads, receipts and access emails.
• Enforce download allowances and licence terms.
• Process payments, taxes, renewals, cancellations and support requests.
• Prevent misuse, fraud and unauthorised access.
• Understand site performance and display advertising when optional cookies are accepted.
• Comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Service providers and international transfers

We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for accounts and protected storage, Stripe and BML Swipe for payments, Resend for transactional email, OpenAI for administrator-requested image cataloguing, and Google for consented analytics or advertising. These providers may process data in other countries under their own terms and appropriate transfer mechanisms.

Cookies and consent

Essential storage supports sign-in, security, payment return state and saved privacy choices. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are not loaded until you select “Accept optional cookies.” If you decline, member login, checkout and downloads remain available. Browser Do Not Track is also respected by Local Living analytics.

To change your choice, clear the site data for localliving.co in your browser and revisit the site. You can also control personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.

Retention

Account, purchase, invoice, licence and download records are retained as reasonably required for access, fraud prevention, accounting, tax and legal claims. Enquiries are retained while needed to respond. Analytics retention is controlled in the relevant analytics service.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of personal information, or object to processing and withdraw consent. Some records must be retained for legal, payment, tax or security reasons. You may complain to the data-protection authority available in your country.

Security and children

We use access controls, signed download links and protected storage, but no online system is risk-free. The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
